*The second goal of Patrik Schick (Czech Republic) in the game vs Scotland (2-0) was scored from the distance of 49.7 metres. It’s the furthest distance from which a goal has been scored in the Euro finals history.
The previos record belonged to Torsten Frings (Germany) who scored from 38.6 metres on Euro 2004 vs Netherlands.
*Schick’s goal became also the furthest in the history of major tournaments (World Cup and Euro). It overcame the goals of David Villa from 43 metres (Spain, vs Costa Rica, WC 2010) and Keisuke Honda from 41 metres (Japan, vs Denmark, WC 2010).
*David Marshall became the oldest player of Scotland in Euro finals (36 years, 101 days at the game vs Czech Republic).
He is also the second oldest player to appear for Scotland at a major tournament (World Cup and Euro) after Jim Leighton who appeared in the 1998 World Cup being 39 years old.
*Wojciech Szczesny (Poland) became the first goalkeeper to score an own goal in Euro finals history.
It is also the 4th goalkeeper’s own goal in major tournaments. Three goalkeepers committed own goals at World Cups: Andoni Zubizarreta (Spain, 1998), Noel Valladares (Honduras, 2014) and Yann Sommer (Switzerland, 2018).
*Besides this, Wojciech Szczesny set up another negative record of Euros: his own goal vs Slovakia made on 18th minute became the earliest own goal in the history of tournament. Previously, it belonged to Igor Tudor (Croatia, Euro 2004, 22nd minute).
*Karol Linetty (Poland) scored against Slovakia the second fastest goal after halftime in Euro finals history (32 seconds). The record belongs to Marcel Coras (Romania) who scored in Euro 1984 vs Germany after 21 seconds.
*Grzegorz Krychowiak (Poland) is the first player to receive a red card at Euro 2020.
*Since 2008, Marek HamÅ¡Ăk has played all games of his team (Slovakia) in the European championships (including qualification and final tournaments). The game vs Poland was his 41st consecutive. This is longest such series in the history of the competition so far.
*Spain have had a 85,1% of possession vs Sweden. This is the highest percentage in a single Euro finals game ever.
*Pedri became in the game vs Sweden the youngest Spanish player (age: 18 years 201 days) to appear in a game of a major tournament surpassing Cesc Fabregas (19 years 41 days, vs Ukraine in 2006 World Cup).
In the ranking of youngest players in Euro finals history, Pedri takes now 6th position.
