Cameroon Presidency undertakes huge Communication stunt.
The President of the Republic of Cameroon, Paul Biya has ordered a huge communication stunt around the CAF TotalEnergies Cameroon 2021, the 33rd AFCON to be hosted by the country from January 9 to Feburary 6, 2022. In so doing, he intends to assure CAF, FIFA, the national and international community that after the Final Draw of the event last August 17, 2021 the country has resolutely risen to the ranks of a potential host for a huge football event like the Junior FIFA World Cup.
Included in the fact finding delegation dispatched to the sites to host the six pools of the tournament on the mission to assess the infrastructure, hotel and health facilities include: the delegation head who is the Minister of State and Secretary General at the Presidency of the Republic , Ferdinand Ngoh Ngoh; Minister with Special Duties at the Presidency, and former Sports Minister, Philippe Mbarga Mboa; the Minister for Sports, Narcisse Moulle Kombi; FECAFOOT President, Seydou Mbombo Njoya, and then such international personalities as, Philippe Doucet and Patrick Mboma, both of them consultants at Canal +; El Hadji Diouf, former Senegal football great and current itinerant ambassador for his country; former Cameroon national team players, Ambassador Roger Milla, Joseph Antoine Bell, Gregoire Mbida, Alioum Boukar, Victor Ndip Akem, Rigobert Song, Geremi Njitap, Celine Eko, Gaelle Enganamouit, amongst others. The expedition which runs from October 18 – 23 also features representatives from such global news organs as BBC, CNN, Euro News, AfricaNews ...
Total Energies CAF Champions League Preliminary Round, 1st leg.
The first leg matches of the first preliminary round of the TotalEnergies CAF Champions league have been played this past weekend on the continent with Raja of Morocco, Zamalek of Egypt and Simba of Tanzania registering victories on away pitches. The second leg games will be played from 22-24 October with the aggregate winners qualifying for the group stage, and aggregate losers enrolled automatically in the TotalEnergies CAF Confederation Cup additional second round.
