Jairo Henríquez scores 3rd fastest goal in World Cup qualifying history!
Jairo Henríquez (El Salvador) has scored in the World Cup qualifier vs Panama (1-2) on November 16 already after 12 seconds from kick-off.
This goal became the fastest in the history of CONCACAF qualifiers. It surpassed the goal of Juninho Bacuna (Curaçao) on 25 March 2021 vs Saint Vincent and Grenadines (5-0) which was scored after 18 seconds.
Also, the goal Jairo Henríquez takes now 3rd place in the ranking of all-time fastest goals in World Cup qualifying in all confederations (see below).
The fastest ever goal of WC final stages (11 seconds) was scored by Hakan Şükür (Turkey) vs South Korea (3-2) on 29 June 2002.
