*The victory in the Paris 2021/2022 Champions League final over Liverpool (1:0) became Real Madrid's 8th consecutive victory in the finals of the main European club tournament. They have previously won the Champions League in 1998, 2000, 2002, 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
Real Madrid's last defeat in a European Cup final occurred in 1981, from Liverpool (0:1), and that game also took place in Paris.
