Dembélé the new pursuer for Mbappe
The French strikers dominate the IFFHS goal-scorers rankings this year. Apart from Mbappe and Benzema, also Moussa Dembélé has significantly bettered his positions.
Successful on the finish of French League (5 goals for Lyon in May), Dembélé jumped to 2nd place in the national scorers’ ranking, with total 17 league goals in 2022. He is now just 2 goals down from Mbappe.
The most prolific league striker over the past month was Sølvi Vatnhamar: 8 goals in the Faroe Islands (now 26th place in the ranking with total 13 goals).
