The Argentine Julián Álvarez became on 25 May the 9th player to score 6+ goals in a game and the first since 2003 when the Bosnian Eldar Hadžimehmedović achieved the same at UEFA Cup qualifying stage.
They both scored 3 goals in each of halftimes. Hadžimehmedović made his hexa-trick at the age of just 18 year; youngest age among the players in the list. Now aged 37, he is still active.
The joint record holders (7 goals in a game) are Godfrey Chitalu (Zambia) and Sasho Petrovski (Australia). Petrovski scored all his 7 goals within the first halftime, since 18th to 45th minute!
