Longest winning streaks in Copa Libertadores history
As we have reported, Palmeiras set the new Copa Libertadores record on the most consecutive wins (9). The previous record (8 wins in a row) was shared by 5 clubs. One of them, Estudiantes, stretched their streak over 3 seasons (it was possible when a winner was privileged to start the next edition since the semifinal stage). The details are below in the table.
It’s worth mentioning that Copa Libertadores record on longest unbeaten series was also beaten during the current edition, by another Brazilian team, Atletico Mineiro (18 teams).
