IFFHS World’s Best National Top Division Scorer 2022:
three leaders finished, chance for Mbappe and Lewandowski
Boris Kopitović, the Montenegrin from Tampines Rovers (Singapore), is holding the top position for the last 3 months. In October, he was successful again, scoring 6 goals, and has reached 35 goals.
But he can’t increase his tally anymore. The same applies to players at 2nd and 3rd places - Kodai Tanaka (33) and Nicolás Ibáñez (31). Their leagues (Singapore and Mexico) have already completed the 2022 calendar.
This means that the world class players behind them - Kylian Mbappé (30) and Robert Lewandowski (29) - get some chance. They have yet 3 league matches each to try to overcome the gap and win the award.
