THE WORLD’S BEST TOP GOAL SCORER at end August 2018 : EL KAABI LEADER !
Only one African goal scorer has won the Award THE WORLD’S BEST TOP GOAL SCORER in 2007, it was Tresor M’Putu Mabi from Congo DR (picture). Maybe, Ayoub El Kaabi or Baghdad Bounedjah can succeed him in 2018 to become the first North African to win the Award.
At end August 2018, Moroccan Ayoub El Kaabi of RS Berkane is still on top of the annual list with 15 goals. He is followed by Algerian Baghdad Bounedjah who scored 2 AFC CL goals for Al Sadd SC to increase his total to 14. Portuguese Cristiano Ronaldo who moved from Real Madrid to Juventus comes third with 12.
El Kaabi is the player with most national team goals with 11, followed by Belgian Romelu Lukaku with 9, while Bounedjah and North Korean An Il-bom of April 25 Sports Club scored most club goals, also with 11, .
