IFFHS Women’s Club World Ranking 2022 – THE AWARD FOR FC BARCELONA
Since 2012, the IFFHS determined each year the Women’s World Best Club (Olympique Lyon won 7 Awards, VFL Wolfsburg 2 Awards and FC Barcelona 1 Award) with votings of all members from all World continents.
For the first time in 2022, IFFHS determined the best club in women's world football with the rules of the IFFHS WOMEN’S CLUB WORLD RANKING (adapted from the Men’s Club World Ranking) .The winner of this new rules Award 2022 is FC Barcelona who topped the world ranking with 738 points. The domination of Barcelona in women's World football brought them to become the first team EVER for men and women to win 62 consecutive National League matches !
Chelsea finished second and Olympique Lyonnais third in the World Ranking 2022.
FC Barcelona, represented by the 5 captains of the team Irene Paredes, Patri Guijarro, Alexia Putellas, Marta Torrejon and Sandra Panos, received the IFFHS Award 2022 in Barcelona.
