In the table below, the all-time best goal-scorers in some of Brazilian state leagues are listed. Only goals scored in the state top divisions are taken into account.
Pele is uncompeted among all these state record holders with his 466 goals in Paulista.
Roberto Dinamite has second highest tally, 284 goals in Carioca.
The name of the third best is much less known outside Brazil: Sima (full name Simão Teles Bacelar) has collected 265 in Piauiense, a league of essentially lower caliber compared to both above mentioned.
The only player in the list who is still active: Cristiano (full name Cristiano Lopes), a record holder in Sul-Matogrossense league.
