- For the fifth time of the World Cup History, Sweden qualified for the semi finals, outfoxing Futoshi Ikeda’s Japan.
- It was the 10th Women’s World Cup victory for Sweden in the last 12 appearances.
- Second in 2003, third in 1991, 2011 and 2019, Sweden never won the World Cup , but this year, on the back of eliminating the two last World Cup champions USA and Japan, advanced to the favourite role.
