Víctor Núñez holds the goal-scoring record in the top league of Costa Rica since its foundation in 1921. He scored 246 goals in 530 games for 8 different clubs between 1999 and 2019.
Núñez is the only player with 200+ goals. 6 players have reached 150 goals, 41 players – 100 goals.
Marcel Hernández (Cuba, 114 goals) is the only foreigner in the “Club 100+”.
Núñez also came from other country (Dominican Republic), but he took Costa Rican citizenship and played for the national team of this country.
The second-placed Errol Daniels has scored most goals for a single club, 196 for Alajuelense.
