All-time best top division goal-scorers: Estonia (since 1992) (Part 42)
The top-tier national league football in Estonia had two periods of existence, reflecting the political history of the country.
The first such league existed from 1921 to 1943; including two last seasons (1942, 1943) under German occupation.
For the second time, the Estonian national league was re-established in 1992, after the country became independent again.
Here we present the ranking of best goal-scorers for the modern league, which is at the same time the all-time ranking of both leagues combined as the scorers’ tallies of the “old” league were quite small.
Maksim Gruznov is its scoring record holder with 304 goals (between 1992 and 2012).
He has also scored most goals for a single club (246 for Trans Narva).
Another player to reach 200 goals is Vjatšeslav Zahovaiko (211).
The mark of 150 goals was reached by 8 players, 100 goals by 18 players in total.
The only foreign player among them, a Georgian Zakaria Beglarishvili, is also the best of 6 active goal-scorers (139).
Of this 6 (taken bold in the table), three don’t play now at Estonia top flight (also Albert Prosa and Rauno Sappinen).
Rauno Alliku, Igor Subbotin and Konstantin Vassiljev do it, increasing their tallies.
