A NEW TITLE FOR CORINTHIANS
A goal scored by Millene in a very close game allowed this Saturday Corinthians to beat Palmeiras 1-0 in the final of the Copa Libertadores femenina to win their fourth title of the continental, which makes the São Paulo team the most winners of the championship.
At the Pascual Guerrero stadium in Cali, Millene’s goal made the decision in a game marked by strong play and the tension typical of a classico. Palmeiras with their best player, Bia Zaneratto, could not find any space nor could she show her best football. Corinthians finished the game with 10 players, Tarciane saw the red card. Then came the opportunities for Palmeiras , but they were saved with solvency by the goalkeeper Lele, who finished the day as a heroine. Corinthians celebrated their fourth Copa Libertadores title.
In the game for the third place, Atlético Nacional Medellin with Yoreli Rincon was the best against Internacional Porto Alegre, winning 3-2 and taking a place on the final podium !
