NEW WORLD RECORD !
Crvena Zvezda beat Real Madrid’s world record!
Crvena Zvezda have set a new world record for the longest unbeaten streak of the home games in domestic league.
Their win over Mladost Lučani (3-1) on 9 December became the 122nd consecutive league game at home without defeat.
Thus, the red-white Serbian club broke the previous record that belonged to Real Madrid: 121 straight home games in the Spanish La Liga between 1957 to 1965.
The last home league defeat for Crvena Zvezda dates back to 18 April 2017 (vs the arch-rival Partizan, 1-3). The next home game vs Vojvodina (2-0) on 30 April 2017 put the start of the current historic series.
Here we publish the ranking for longest such streaks in the history of national leagues worldwide. Curiously, Crvena Zvezda have two places on the podium since the all-time 3rd longest run also was achieved by them!
