After the domination of Alexia Putellas in the last two years, Spain has a new Queen !
Aitana Bonmati, already crowned UEFA Player and BALLON D’OR for the season 2022/23, Golden Ball at the World Cup 2023 and IFFHS WORLD PLAYER for the year 2023, was also acclaimed as IFFHS World’s Best Playmaker 2023 !
She won the ranking sovereign with a huge advance of Lena Oberdorf, Germany’s and Wolfsburg’s leader (already second in 2022 behind Putellas), and Colombian Linda Caicedo, who at 18 years old , reached the World Top 5 in 3 IFFHS categories !
Aitana Bonmati succeeded Marta, Lena Goessling, Nadine Kessler, Carli Lloyd, Dzsenifer Marozsan, Lieke Martens, Megan Rapinoe and Alexia Putellas ! Marozsan holds always the record of the most IFFHS World Playmaker Awards with 3 (2016, 2018, 2020).
