IFFHS MEN'S WORLD BEST GOAL SCORER 2024 at FEBRUARY 29
IFFHS Men's World Best Goal Scorer 2024 at 29 February: Martín Cauteruccio
Martín Cauteruccio (picture) was very sensational in February with his 14 goals scored for Sporting Cristal during a single month (10 in the national league, 4 in Copa Libertadores).
No one has ever scored so many goals in a calendar month over the current decade!
In total, the 36-year-old Uruguayan striker has already scored 17 goals since the beginning of the year, breaking away from the other scorers by a solid distance of 4 goals.
His two-month goal collection includes as many as 4 hat-tricks.
What makes his feat even more surprising is that Cauteruccio has never appeared in the IFFHS rankings before.
Before his arrival in Peru early this year, he didn’t score a single goal in his last 15 games for his previous club Independiente (Argentina).
