All-time ranking for longest winning runs in national leagues
Summing up the results of the 2023-24 club season, we can notice that for the first time three clubs managed to create winning streaks of more than 20 games in their national leagues during the same season.
The Saudi champion Al-Hilal maintained their winning streak in the league for 24 matches in a row and ended it on 17 May in a match vs Al-Nassr (1-1).
The Faroese Vikingur in the meantime have held 21 victorious matches in a row.
The New Saints, the side dominationg the Welsh league, have avoided dropping points in their last 26 league matches of the season. Their series is not yet over and may be prolonged in the next season.
For the first time, we publish a historical ranking for the teams with the longest winning streaks in the national leagues.
The world record in this category is 32 victories in a row. It hasn't been updated for a very long time being jointly owned by the Hungarian Ferencváros (1931-1932) and the Uruguayan Nacional (1940-1942).
