NEW RECORD FOR PEPE

Pepe, new oldest player in Euro history

Euro 2024 has expanded the age range of participants on both sides.
Lamine Yamal set a new record as the youngest player in the history of the tournament, and Pepe followed him as the new oldest player.
The Portuguese super-veteran has played vs Czech Republic at  41 years 113 days, surpassing the previous record of a Hungarian goalkeeper Gábor Király who appeared at 40 years 86 days in the 2016 edition.
Cristiano Ronaldo takes now the 3rd position in the ranking (39 years 134 days), so he and Pepe became two oldest outfielders in the Euro history at same time.
They two also lead the ranking for most games in the history of tournament: Cristiano Ronaldo 26, Pepe 20.
The podium is now completely Portuguese since the third position belongs now to João Moutinho (19).
