Harry Kane’s goal from penalty spot for England in the semi-final vs Netherlands (2-1) made him the all-time top scorer in Euro knockout stage games (6 goals: 4 in 2021 and 2 in 2024).
He surpassed Antoine Griezmann who has 5 such goals for France (all in 2016).
*Also, Kane has now more knockout stage goals in major tournaments (World Cups, Euros) than any other European player (9), surpassing Gerd Müller, Miroslav Klose, Antoine Griezmann, and Kylian Mbappé (all 8).
*Kane is the first ever player to score 15 goals for England at major tournaments.
*Kane became the 2nd player in football history, after Cristiano Ronaldo, with 7+ goals in the Euros and 7+ goals in the World Cups.
