Copa America: historical scorers’ ranking after 2024 edition
Copa America 2024 did not bring significant changes to the competition's historical scoring ranking. Lionel Messi managed to score just 1 goal and finished his career in the competition with a total of 14 goals.
Eduardo Vargas (Chile) and Paolo Guerrero (Peru), who had 14 goals each before the start of the tournament, added nothing to their tallies.
Thus, the joint record of Norberto „Tucho” Mendes and Zizinho (17) remains unshakable.
Lautaro Martinez, the top scorer of the 2024 Copa America, now has 10 goals. He is the 26th player in the competition history to reach this mark.
