ALL TIME BEST TOP DIVISION GOAL SCORERS - GERMANY BUNDESLIGA (part 48)
All-time best top division goal-scorers: Germany (Bundesliga) (part 48)
Now we publish the list of best goal-scorers of the German national top division (1.Bundesliga) since its foundation in 1963.
The goal-scoring record belonged to Uwe Seeler in 1964-1965 years, Timo Konietzka in 1965-1966, Lothar Emmerich in 1966-1970. Since 1970, late Gerd Müller (PICTURE) is the unchanged leader.
Gerd Müller record tally of 365 goals scored in 427 games for Bayern between 1965 and 1979 was and still is too high for all Bundesliga strikers. Except Robert Lewandowski, the only one who was able to produce the goals with the Müller’s intensity during a long period.
However, having come pretty close to “Der Bomber” (312 goals), the Pole opted in 2022 the new challenge in Spain instead of trying to beat the “eternal” Bundesliga record (what he would have probably done in couple of seasons).
5 players in the Bundesliga history managed to reach 200 goals, 16 players - 150 goals and 55 players – 100 goals (including 7 foreigners).
5 members of “Club 100+” are active, 2 of them current members of Bundesliga clubs: Thomas Müller and Andrej Kramarić.
