CHAMPIONS LEAGUE ASIA
Melbourne City (Australia) and Urawa (Japan) won their 3 games in their group, Incheon Hyundai added 7 points in 3 games. They are the leaders of the 3 Groups. Terry Engesha, Kenyan striker, scored the most goals (5) with Incheon, joined at the first place by Jbarah Maysa , Jordan’s goal scorer, who played for Etihad Club.
COPA LIBERTADORES SOUTH AMERICA
In the Group phase, only Santos (Brazil) and Deportiva Cali (Colombia) won their 3 games, but it was not enough because they lost in the Quarter finals against Boca Junior (Argentina) and Independiente del Valle (Ecuador, where Neyeli Bolanos scored the 3 goals of the game ! In the semi finals, Corinthians (Brazil) and Boca Junior (Argentina), already playing in the Group phase (0-0) , were face to face, Gabi Zanotti’s fifth goal in the competition, was the match winner. In the second game, Santa Fe (Colombia) has beaten Independiente del Valle (Ecuador) in the penalties phase . Final next Saturday : Corinthians – Santa Fe.
CONCACAF CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
Mexican clubs made furor in the two Groups. So, UANL Tigres and Club America won the two Groups with 10 and 9 points in 4 games. US Champion 2023, Gotham and Portland Thorns qualify also for semi finals with their second places. Ana Dias (Tigres) and Maria Sanchez (San Diego Wave) were the best Goalscorers of the competition with 4 goals each.
UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE
After 17 consecutive wins, Barcelona lost his first match in the competition in Manchester City. But one week later, Putellas and Co dynamite Sweden’s Hammarby 9-0 ! City leads this Group with two wins (6 points) before Barcelona (3).
Bayern München scored 5 goals against Arsenal, before loosing their first game in the Bundesliga since 44 games in Wolfsburg. In Turin, Bayern won their second Champions League game sovereign to take the leadership before Arsenal (3 points). Pernille Harder is the leader in the Goalscorer ranking with 4 goals.
AS Roma ,with Playmaker Manuela Giugliano (22 goals in 2024), leads the Group, winning the two games like Olympique Lyon, always efficient as the recordclub of winning the Champions League (7).
Chelsea and Sonia Bompastor leads the last Group with two wins before Real Madrid and Twente (3 points each).
