2 - 0 : Corinthians (Brazil) beat Santa Fe (Colombia) in the Copa Libertadores final 2024 in Assuncao (Paraguay) to win their 5th Copa Libertadores after 2017, 2019, 2021, 2023.Victoria Albuquerque (13 goals in the Brasileiro Serie A) scored the first and so important goal in the first half, before Erika closed the match at the 63 minute. 44 164 spectators saw this final, a fantastic crowd ! For the third place, Boca Junior (Argentina) won also 2-0 against Independiente del Valle (Ecuador).
4Fixtures for CAF Women’s Champions League 2024
The draw that constituted the two groups for the fourth edition of the tournament holding in Morocco November 9-23, 2024 took place at the Mohamed VI Complex Friday, October 18. Conducted by Fatiha Laasiri, former AS FAR (Association Sportive des Forces Arméees Royales) and Morocco player as well as that country’s national U23 coach, the tournament will see the winners pocket $US 400,000 and viceroy $US 250,000.
Projected hype around this year’s edition would be attributed to the credentials of the teams in attendance in two fairly balanced groups following the official draw:
Group A: AS FAR, Morocco (2022 winners); Aigle De La Medina, Senegal (debutants); TP Mazembe, DR Congo; University of Western Cap, South Africa.
Group B: Mamelodi Sundowns (defending champions and twice winners), South Africa; Tutankhamun, Egypt; Commercial Bank of Ethiopia; Edu Queens, Nigeria.
Group A opens with AS FAR vs Aigles de la Médina, and Group B by Mamelodi Sundowns vs Tutankhamun.
The best two of each group would forge on to the knockout phase.
