Luka Modrić became the oldest ever player in Real Madrid history after his appearance in La Liga game vs Celta (2-1) at the age of 39 years 40 days. He made a decisive assist to Vinicius just 3 minutes after coming on from bench.
Modrić surpassed the Ferenc Puskás’ record that stood since May 1966. Puskás has appeared with Los Blancos for the last time at 39 years 36 days in the Copa del Rey quarter-final first leg vs Betis (2-3).
