Real Madrid vs Milan 1-3

This is the end to the best winning streak of any club against rivals of the same country in the history of the tournament.

*Milan are the first team to score 3 goals against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabéu twice in the European Cup/Champions League, having already done so in October 2009.

*Real Madrid conceded their biggest home defeat in the Champions League since 5 March 2019 against Ajax (1-4).

*Real Madrid suffered 2 defeats in a row at the Bernabéu in all competitions (including 0-4 vs Barça) for the first time since October 2020 (0-1 vs Cadiz and 2-3 vs Shakhtar).
Prior to the current double setback, they had gone 39 games in a row without losing at home.

Sporting Lisboa vs Manchester City 4-1

*Manchester City lost 3 consecutive games in all competitions for the first time since 2018.

*Manchester City conceded 4 goals in a Champions League match for the second time in their history, after 19 October 2016 (against Barcelona).

*Sporting is the third rival to score 4 goals against a Guardiola team in UCL, along with a 0-4 defeat against Real Madrid with Bayern Munich in April 2014 and just mentioned another 0-4 to Barcelona.

*Viktor Gyökeres became:
the second Swedish player to ever score a hat-trick in UCL, after Zlatan Ibrahimovic (on 23 October 2013, for PSG vs Anderlecht);

The first was 28 September 2021 (Real Madrid vs Sheriff Tiraspol 1-2, PSG vs Manchester City 2-0).
