IFFHS MEN'S WORLD BEST NATIONAL GOAL SCORER 2024

IFFHS Men’s World Best National Goal Scorer 2024 at 30 November: Martín Cauteruccio

Uruguayan Martín Cauteruccio (picture) continues to lead the IFFHS category for the best national goal-scorers 2024 with 35 goals. But it is not he who has an excellent chance of becoming the winner, but his runner-up Viktor Gyökeres, who is one goal behind.
Cauteruccio has no more league games with Sporting Cristal in 2024 while Győkeres will play for Sporting no less than 4 in Portuguese league in December. Given his fantastic form (16 goals in the first 12 rounds this season), this looks more than possible.
In case of a tie, Győkeres will have an advantage over Cauteruccio because he is featuring in a stronger league according to the IFFHS ranking.
Next positioned Wu Lei and Alex Tamm are no longer in contention for the award as they have already completed their league games of this year, and Harry Kane got injured. The rest of the scorers are far behind and unlikely to be able to intervene.
