RECORDS IN "CLASICO" !

The “Clásico” of records

The Spanish Super Cup final clash in Jeddah on 12 January saw Barcelona score 4+ goals in back-to-back “Clásicos” for the first time in history of the greatest football rivalry in the world (4-0 in La Liga on 28 October 2024 and 5-2 now).
Moreover, Barcelona managed to score 4 goals in two consecutive halftimes against Real Madrid (the 2nd half in the first game and the 1st half in the second).
As for Real Madrid, they have already done the similar feat in 1963 (two wins in a row with 5-1 and 4-0 scores). 

*Real Madrid have conceded 5+ goals in a final for the 3rd time in their history, after:
3-5 vs Benfica in 1962 (European Cup).
3-5 vs Sevilla in 2007 (Spanish Super Cup).

*Real Madrid have conceded 4+ goals before half-time in a match for the first time since 16 May 2006 (in the league against Sevilla, 2-4 at halftime, 3-4 at the end).

*Real Madrid have conceded 5+ goals in a game of any competition for the 7th time in XXI Century (these cases are listed in the table).

*Barcelona came to half-time of a “Clásico” with a 3+ goal advantage (4-1) for the 3rd time in history, after cases in 1926 (3-0, finished 5-1) and in 1948 (3-0, finished 4-2).

*Barça have scored 4 goals against Real Madrid in the first half for the first time 10 January 1943 (4-2 at half-time and 5-5 at the end in a La Liga home match).
