As written, it sounds as if the players were still playing and been evaluated under the same conditions - as if Pelé and Maradona were still on the field today. There are certainly millenials behind on this, funny at least. It would make more sense, if the list was divided by century or era. Saying Messi has displaced Pelé and Maradona is not just unfair — it borders on disrespectful. Cristiano Ronaldo at 4th? Ronaldinho Gaucho with broken legs is better than him.

Top 3 is definitely right, these 3 are the holy trinity of football. The rest is debatable, Ronaldo9 is judged as if he had played at pre-injury level for his entire career, but sadly he was done at 29 years old. Ronaldinho is the same history, but due to lack of commitment, not injury. I know R10 has lot of fans, but Zico and Romario were greater than him. It's very simple really: great pure goal scorers like him are just never considered great players. You don't need a lot of goals to be considered a great player (see Maradona or Ronaldinho) and scoring a lot of goals doesn't grant you a place in history (see Gerd Müller or Romario). Being a great player is so much more than scoring a lot of goals. Expect future versions of this ranking to have Cristiano in worse positions and eventually to drop him all together.
