HARRY KANE'S 31 PENALTIES
Kane’s great penalty run is over!
Harry Kane stopped his outstanding streak of 31 penalties converted across all official games for clubs and country that lasted since 2022.
On 27 August, the Bayern Munich star, having already scored once from spot kick against Wehen Wiesbaden, missed his another attempt. Wehen’s goalie Florian Stritzel saved his shot while Bayern struggled to beat their third-tier opponent (3-2) in the German Cup.
Kane’s previous such failure at top level is dated back by 10 December 2022 when he also scored the first and missed the second of two his attempts in a World Cup duel England vs France (1-2). Hugo Lloris made a decisive save that day.
Harry Kane’s run, the world’s longest of this kind in XXI century, included last 3 penalties in his Tottenham spell, first 22 in Bayern colours as well as 6 for “Three Lions”.
