IFFHS Men's World Best International Goal Scorer 2025: Erling Haaland
Erling Haaland finished the year with outstanding amount of 29 international goals (12 for Manchester City and 17 for Norway).
It is the second-highest annual tally in the history of football, behind only Cristiano Ronaldo’s record set in 2017 (32 goals).
Moreover, the whole podium of 2025 became the most prolific of all times.
Harry Kane’s 23 international goals in the joint-highest ever runner-up tally, alongside Ali Ashfaq in 2013 (the Maldives’ star was then the 2nd after Cristiano Ronaldo who netted 25).
Kylian Mbappé’s 22 goals is the new highest ever mark for third-placed international scorers, surpassing the case of 2000 when as many as 4 players scored 21 goals each (Romario, Rivaldo, Ali Daei, Bashar Abdullah).
