THE STRONGEST NATIONAL LEAGUE IN THE WORLD 2019 – THE ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE NUMBER 1
THE ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE 10 YEARS AFTER !
For the first time since 2009, the PREMIER LEAGUE of England is again the Best National League in the World ! The domination of the Spanish LA LIGA ended so in 2019 after nine consecutive Awards. The performances of Liverpool, Tottenham and Manchester City contributed highly to the victory of the English PREMIER LEAGUE in the annual Ranking of the Leagues determined by IFFHS.
At the second place, the SERIE A of Brazil, third last year, has beaten LA LIGA of Spain, only at the third place in 2019. Brazil was second for the last time in 2012 and is the Best League in South America.
The SERIE A of Italy took place 4 in the ranking, one place better than last year before the PRIMERA A of Colombia, which lost one place.
At place 6, the PRIMEIRA LIGA of Portugal made a great jump (16 in 2017 and 10 in 2018) , ranked before the LIGUE 1 of France (same place than last year) and the EREDIVISIE of Netherlands, winning 8 places in one year (15 in 2018) and coming back in the Top 10 after seven years.
The PRIMERA DIVISION of Argentina lost 3 places to be ranked at the 9th place before the BUNDESLIGA of Germany at place 10, his worst result since the creation of the World Ranking in 1991 !
In Africa, the LIGUE 1 of Tunisia recovered the first place in the continent and ranked at place 15 in the World ! The BOTOLA of Morocco took place 2 with a progression in the World Ranking (17th place) and the PREMIER LEAGUE of Egypt registered his best result since nine years (23 in 2010).
In CONCACAF zone, the LIGA MX of Mexico is always number 1 before LA LIGA NACIONAL of Guatemala,which has surpassed the PRIMERA DIVISION of Costa Rica at the second place in the continent.
In Asia, the K LEAGUE of South Korea lost 11 places (19 in 2018), but is always the number 1 in the continent since 2011 before the PRO LEAGUE of Saudi Arabia, which won 20 places in the ranking (52 in 2018) to become n°2 in Asia before the J1 LEAGUE of Japan.
In Oceania, the SUPER LIGUE of New Caledonia is for the second time after 2016 the number 1 of the continent before the LIGUE 1 of Tahiti and the PREMIERSHIP of New Zealand.
