PRESENTATION
Born on 10 December 1985 in Kinshasa (Zaire), Tresor M’Putu is a Congolese striker who has realized a extraordinary career with TP Mazembe, where he played until now.
After his youth career in Jac Tresor FC, he became professionnal in Kin City (2000-2002). Described by specialists as the next Samuel Eto’o, M’Putu joined TP Mazembe in june 2002. He has been a Legend Player in this club where he stayed until 2014, scoring 144 goals in 292 matches, winning the CAF Champions League title 2009, 5 National titles of DR Congo (2006, 2007,2009,2011,2012) and the CAF Super Cup 2010.
Tresor M’Putu received his IFFHS Trophy.
Between 2007 and 2010, he was successfull with the CAF Champions League , becoming CAF’s African Player of the Year, winning the IFFHS Award THE WORLD’S BEST TOP GOAL SCORER 2007 and the Top Goal Scorer Award of CAF Champions league. He was finalist with Mazembe at the FIFA Club World Cup in Abu Dhabi against Inter Milan.
He moved two years to Angola at Kabuscorp (2014-2016), scoring 18 goals in 49 matches before coming back to TP MAZEMBE in 2016 until now.
He made also a great international career with the National Team from 2004 to 2013, and he returned in 2018 after a five year absence, until now. He won the African Nations Cup 2009 with DR Congo, was named African Player of the Tournament 2009 . He scored 14 goals in 47 national caps and is the current captain of the Congolese national team.
Tresor M’Putu is the holder of the record of the GOAL SCORERS at the African Club Competition with 41 goals before the Egyptian Mahmoud Al-Khatib, 37 goals.
