THE WORLD'S BEST MAN REFEREE 2020 : DANIELE ORSATO NUMBER 1
After Pier-Luigi Collina (1998 to 2003), Roberto Rosetti (2008) and Nicola Rizzoli (2014 and 2015), Daniele Orsatti became the 4th Italian referee to win the Award of THE WORLD’S BEST MAN REFEREE of the year in 2020.
His regularity in Serie A games (232 matches) and in Europe (60 UEFA competition club games) led Orsato to be chosen to referee the UEFA Champions League final in Lisbon between FC Bayern and Paris SG. He won the World Ranking sovereign before Felix Brych, Germany’s IFFHS Award Winner of 2017, and Netherland’s Björn Kuipers, always ranked in the Top 5 since many years. Last year winner Damir Skomina took place 4.
