The Kolkata derby for Indian football fans and The Indian Classico for the football world...
On Friday it marked 100th year! The first one came in the Cooch Behar Cup in 1921..
In The Hero Indian Super League, SC East Bengal and ATK Mohun Bagan find themselves in contrasting positions in the table.
Bagan, impressive from day one of the season, are at the very top of the table and are favorites to walk away with the League Winners' Shield. East Bengal, on the other hand, are out of contention, unable to recover from a poor start to the season despite improved displays in the second half.
As the two teams take on each other in a landmark Kolkata Derby at the Fatorda Stadium, Goa, a lot more than three points will be at stake.

One fantastic solo goal to set up the pace at the Kolkata Derby and two assists to seam the game ! Roy Krishna was the architect for ATK Mohun Bagan cementing their place at the top of the Hero Indian Super League. SC East Bengal, on the other hand failed to handle the pressure while being at the receiving end at the Derby.

RECORD FOR AL MERRIKH
For a whole year, the Sudanese Al-Merrikh did not loss any match at the level of the Sudanese Premier League ! The last loss was against Al-Ahly Shendi on February 9, 2020 .
Al-Merrikh played 25 games during the year The victory won 17 matches and drew 8 matches.

Al-Merrikh Sporting Club is based in Omdurman (Sudan. Founded in 1908, Al-Merrikh is one of the oldest football clubs in Africa, and have won the Sudan Premier League 21 times and Sudan Cup 15 times. The club share a fierce rivalry with Al-Hilal Omdurman, the games between them regularly selling out, as well as being the only other realistic challenger to the league crown. Al-Hilal are also based in Omdurman with only Al-Ardha street separating the teams and between them they are Sudan's most powerful and successful football clubs. Al-Merrikh has already participated to 27 CAF Champions Leagues !
